Young people
Our small and dedicated team deliver workshops to young people from the age of 4 years to 18. Many of the young people we work with have some challenging life issues; they may have experienced abuse or trauma of some type or be deprived economically, socially or geographically.
I really learned a lot from it and managed to create something I didn’t think I was able to.
– Hannah, Aged 17
I wasn’t sure at first but it was actually really fun. My sculpted head is wicked too!
– Dan, Aged 12
Living with dementia
The Sculpture Workshop has also run sessions for people living with dementia. These workshops have been very successful and have helped people to rediscover their creativity.
“I thoroughly enjoyed it. The last time I made a sculpture was when I built a snowman about 30 years ago. It was good to get stuck in.”
– Victor, Aged 71.
“I wish I had found this type of creativity years ago. A brilliant experience.”
– Jude, Aged 67.
Community Interest Company
The Sculpture Workshop runs as a Community Interest Company (CIC). The community workshops are funded through a combination of grants from local authorities and trusts, as well as profits recycled from the commercial workshops which help us to deliver the community workshops.
